After twenty-five years of experience in turkey breeding, RAMIT & CO. is Israel’s preeminent turkey stock producer. Established in 1971, RAMIT is part of the I.T.GROUP-Israel’s largest turkey manufacturer. A consortium composed of Ramit, Tnuva (Israel’s largest dairy and poultry producer and wholesaler) and a group of Israeli investors, I.T. handles all aspects of turkey products. As a result, RAMIT plays a key role in the group’s activities. In order to facilitate continuous production of the parent stock, RAMIT’s grandparent operation places poults in the company’s farms at close intervals. In addition, RAMIT is also Israel’s largest egg producer. A company continually improving its turkey breeding methods and upgrading its equipment, RAMIT’s facilities include two state-of-the-art commercial hatcheries, one grandparent hatchery, as well as 30 isolated rearing, laying and meat production farms. Known for its high quality poults, RAMIT places heavy emphasis on biosecurity and health control. Consequently, the company has established a veterinary and technical department backed by its own laboratory and controlled by Israel’s Government Veterinary Services and RAMIT’s own veterinarians, who check the farms regularly. Presently, RAMIT produces and markets 85% of the parent stock sold in Israel’s domestic market and 50% of the local commercial turkey eggs in addition we supply clients throughout Europe and along the Mediterranean, giving the company a continental flavor. Involved in several international consultancy projects, RAMIT provides technical assistance in all turkey breeding related fields: veterinary, nutritional, technical and managerial.
